Location: 3 days onsite in the Seaport - Boston, MALength: Direct-Hire, W2Compensation: 160-180k, 10% annual bonus

An employer is looking for a Software Development Manager to join their team hybrid in the Seaport district of Boston, MA. This role is a net new position to support a web modernization project over the next few years. As soon as the Development Manager is in place, they will work to hire a team of 6 over the next few months. The manager will take time to learn the current systems that they're replacing and work towards building the new system--the company is building new core services that are domain based. He/she will be responsible for building out new services and help those deploy to the Azure cloud. Additionally, they will do contract and unit testing and help the company understand the boundaries of data in systems.
The position is a hands-on leadership role. About 70% of this person's time will focus on people leadership and high-level strategy and 30% will be hands-on. The current stack is C# .NET but they are open to converting over to Java, so full stack experience in either is fine. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and growing organization.
